Massimo Arrigoni

Massimo Arrigoni was born and raised in Milano, Italy.
During his third year of college he figured he’d had enough with the fog and left for UCLA, California. He did go back to Italy to finish his trailblazing graduation thesis on “electronic home shopping” (hey, no one said “ecommerce” in Italy back in the mid 90’s!), but his heart had stayed on the West Coast, so he moved back for good. Since then, he’s been working in the software industry, with a focus on the stuff companies use to market and sell their products online.

In 2001 he co-founded Early Impact and served as CEO there until the summer of 2011, creating licensed and SaaS ecommerce solutions that are used by lots of businesses around the globe. One of Early Impact’s technology and marketing partners was Italy-based MailUp, developer of a popular online marketing platform. When MailUp decided it was time to grow internationally, Massimo was the go-to-guy,  becoming CEO of MailUp’s new US subsidiary, MailUp Inc.  Massimo is currently having fun building a new team and acting like a startup in San Francisco, with the goal of expanding MailUp’s sales, product line, and Silicon Valley street cred.

Massimo loves getting his hands dirty in all kinds of entrepreneurial projects (in 2011 he helped BAIA with their new BAIAbase project), and enjoys reading business books while hanging out at his kids’ swim meets. His favorite thing in the whole entire world, though, is skiing with friends and family (and getting a good aperitivo afterwards too).
