ParkVice proposed to solve the problems of identifying and booking and payment of parking spaces. The functionality of booking and payment is conducted by a mobile application or website,while a wireless sensor network, consisting of a sensor node placed on the vehicle and a network of sensors deployed on the resting place, perfoms the functionality to allow automatic payment (without the client having to manually initiate a transaction approval because it is performed so transparently between the sensor node placed on the vehicle and sensor network). The wireless sensor network monitors also the presence of vehicles, notifying the owner of any abnormalities such as theft, fire or other safety issues.
