Roberto Crea, as one of the founding scientists of Genentech,  headed the DNA chemistry department that enabled Genentech to commercialize its first biotechnology products. A serial entrepreneur, Crea has founded several cutting-edge biotechnology companies, including Creative BioMolecules (Curis), Creagen (Neurex/Elan), SynGen, CreAgri and Bioren, Inc., acquired in 2005 by Pfizer. Currently he is President and CEO of ProtElix and CreAgri.
